The Teen Skin Care

                                        The Teen Skin Care Regime/Routine

A good skin care regime is essential for good, youthful skin, free from oil, blackheads and blemishes and this is especially important for teens, as they're most prone to these kind of problems as their hormones are developing right now to adult hormones and these hormones may produce extra oil(sebum) which may cause to pore clogging and breakouts. Not to worry though, an effective skin care routine is easy to implement. You just need the right products for your skin type, the correct techniques and the motivation to care for your skin every single day! Your skin will thank you, I promise! Some of these beauty tips can be implemented by some guys too if they really need to.The teen skincare regime includes:-

  • Cleansing
  • Toning
  • Exfoliating
  • Moisturising

Cleanse your face twice a day, morning and night, to wash off the dirt, oil and sweat and preventing from clogging the pores.Wash your face with warm water at first to open up the pores and get it ready for a deep cleansing.Massage your face gently to a foam with a suitable face wash(preferably, containing salicylic acid). And wash off with cold water to close the pores.
Tone your face by using cotton swabs or cotton wool by dipping in rosewater or a toner for your skin type,to wipe off any extra dirt remaining and ensure a squeaky clean face! Gently swipe the whole face continuing to the neck.
Exfoliating is just as important in a skincare regime.Exfoliate only once a week to remove any dead skin cells build up on the face.Use a mild scrub with beads to scrub your face,do it gently, harshly rubbing may cause redness and irritation.
Moisturising is extremely important for beautiful skin.Choose the right moisturiser that is not too oily, choose one that is lightweight and airy to let your skin breathe or the excessive oil may clog your pores and cause pimples.

Extra skin care tips

  • Wear sunscreen before stepping out of the house as the sun's UV rays can prove to be harmful for the skin and can lead to skin damage.Use a non-comodegenic sun screen lotion.
  • Moisturise your hands, legs and feet everyday as dry skin will look flaky and ugly so better use a lotion to get soft, smooth and healthy skin.
  • Do not shave! Instead if you get hairy, get waxing or use hair removal creams.
  • Don't pop your pimples though it might seem tempting.
  • Avoid touching your skin with your hands as this may lead to spreading of bacteria on your face.
  • Remove any skin makeup products from your fave before bedtime to prevent bacteria build-up.
  • Hydrate yourself more often as water flushes out the toxins from your body leading to clearer and healthier skin.
  • Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to get the vitamins and minerals the body needs.
  • Use oil blotting sheets to soak extra oil
  • Avoid soda..bad for skin!!
Put a smile on your face and live your freedom! Have a happy and safe teenhood! =)
